Hiroshima Paintings (2004 - 2008)

The paintings from this series depict the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Memorial Dome in Japan before and after it was damaged during the Second World War. Prior to the damage the building operated as the Hiroshima Prefecture Commercial Exhibition Hall. Its prominent dome whose structural frame remained intact during the attack on Hiroshima now stands as the symbol of peace.
